An Amazing Hotel That Gives Dubai an Architectural Run for Its Money

Whereas most of the new, awe-inspiring hotels and structures are popping up in and around Dubai, the Hareem Architects firm has just announced their plans for the Full Moon Rising and Caspian Plus hotels, which look to be one of the most incredible hotels ever built, but their chosen location is the central Asian republic of Azerbaijan. Watch out Dubai, you could have some competition on your hands.
Though Hareem Architects have only been in Azerbaijan since 2007, they were quick to establish themselves and nail down this global attention grabbing project. The entire concept consists of two separate hotels. The first is the Full Moon Rising hotel, which, obviously, is meant to resemble a full moon (or maybe the Death Star anyone?). The 35 story structure will consist of 104,182 square meters of space for 382 rooms, which seems a relatively small amount of rooms given the sheer size of the internal space, but could guarantee that the rooms themselves are quite large. There will also be adequate space for retail and commercial businesses.
The subsequent part of this two-part hotel is the Caspian Plus that includes Crescent Place, both of which are on a neighboring peninsula. Though not as large, the Crescent Place will, too, be a luxury hotel, with 32 floors, 221 hotel rooms and 128 serviceable apartments. The other four buildings that make up the Caspian Plus will house more residential and commercial businesses as well.
Overall this stands to be an impressive compound of structures that should garner some much deserved attention. It's nice to see that Dubai, with all it's wowing abilities, has inspired the world over to kick up their game in the architectural field. Let's hope the inspiration keeps spreading.

Hotel In Dubai

Dubai'
s skyline has grown in the recent years by an amount, which took over a century for the developed nations to achieve in their own backyard. In Dubai's case, it was the oil exploration at first, and then the commerce of free trade zones, which made it be counted at par with the developed nations. The desire to see its tourism sector flourish and the gains of a thriving economy, were the two major reasons why Dubai's skyline grew so frantically in the last two decades. In the course of events, the city also became the new residing place for world class hotels. Gone were the heydays of Sydney, London, New York and Tokyo. Dubai hotels were also standing at par, shoulder-to-shoulder, eyeball-to-eyeball with them. Today's Dubai offers several dozen of world class hotels to make your stay comfortable. Apart from Dubai hotels (United Arab Emirates) one can choose from many other options, like furnished villas and beach side apartments, to make one's stay at ease.

It stands on an artificial island 280 metres (919 ft) out from Jumeirah beach, and is connected to the mainland by a private curving bridge. The hotel will have 400 bed resort which will stand two levels higher than the rock face of the 100 metre deep quarry.

China's first seven star hotel to be built in Sanya, Hainan

You won't have to go to Dubai to enjoy seven-star luxury anymore as the world's second seven star hotel — and China's first — is going to be built in Sanya, Hainan. Construction of the 120m high hotel will begin later this year and will be completed by 2011 to be managed under the Fairmont Hotels & Resorts brand.

Located in the center of Haitang Bay in Sanya City, the hotel will spread over 150 square kilometers and include a luxury yacht club, a golf course and the biggest ocean park in Asia.
It will be among another 20 five-star hotels in the area and will be a major landmark in Sanya when it is completed.

The hotel will be designed by UK-based W.S Atkins plc which designed the world's first seven-star hotel, the Burj Al Arab, in Dubai.A 150 square kilometer hotel?! Good heavens, that's one-seventh the size of Chongming Island and one-fifth of Singapore. And that's not all. According to the Hainan Daily, Sanya's urban planning authority have announced that the city will build not one, but two seven-star hotels.

Really, we're just a slight tad disappointed they didn't decide to go one up and build the world's first eight-star hotel instead.

World's first floating resort with 7-star hotel to be built in Xiamen

On 17th June, 2009, the Fuzhou Maritime Floating Island Development Co., Ltd. and Beijing Xinmin High-technology Investment Co., Ltd. signed a contract for the construction of the Floating Island Project in Xiamen.

According to the planning, the floating island will be built into a splendid resort with a 7-star hotel and it is expected to become a brand new landmark of Xiamen.

On the floating island, there will be restaurants, gyms, tennis courts, open air swimming pools, etc. The whole island can submerge underseas to depths of 9-15 meters under the control of a special system.

Under the main deck of the island, there will be an underwater viewing corridor which can either be submerged or float on the sea. At night, the island will create an amazing view by the changing of the lights.
